Our new Cowboy Web site is developed to not only showcase our work, but also to encourage our people to live in the world of blogging and networking. I believe that digital social networking and self publishing is paving the way for a complete change in how we communicate. Email is addictive but so full of irrelevance that we have to wade through all of the time consuming crap to get the meat. And my spam/junk filters keep me looking over my shoulder for those messages that got caught or I miss that one nugget I have been waiting for. The current environment is ripe for (dare I say), a paradigm shift.

Our kids are leading the way with how they communicate using Facebook, MySpace, IM, text, etc.. We matured individuals will gradually move to a system that doesn’t get hammered by Viagra emails but there is a ways to go before our social, work and private lives converge on a digital platform.

As consumers, we are getting more control if we want it. But mastering that control to simplify our increasingly complex lives is going to take time, learning and some new tools. So the dilemma; more and more complexity that needs to be simplified in order to allow us to stay at the top of our game. What our Cowboys love to do; pioneer ways to connect people and brands so that there is more control and success on all sides. Simple, huh.
